15 Feb   Monday- NO SCHOOL- marina prep day

 

18 Feb   Thursday- TENTATIVE Boat prep day at Fort Belvoir right after school-  Cancelled

                          

22 Feb   Monday- first day of spring sports-all forms/requirements due before today

 

27 Feb   Saturday- Tag Day- 8-5   meet at school.  MANDATORY FOR ROWERS, WE ALSO WILL NEED PARENT INVOLVEMENT

March

6 March   Saturday- team picture at Mount Vernon Estate meet at post office 7:45 AM.  (Wear MVCrew t-shirts and Hoodies)

  • 8 March Monday--Yearbook Photo at MVHS 

    Meet in the hall outside the Cafeteria at 2:15.

    Uniform for this pictures is JL and black lycra/stretch shorts or pants

    Be prepared to work out after photos.  We will be going to the marina to practice after pictures.

    March 16 - Booster meeting in E106 at 7:30pm.  Please try to attend.  You can also turn in your gift card order to Paula at the meeting.  We will be discussing the point system we will be using next year to track family participation with jobs and events.  The agenda is attached.
     
    March 18 - Fundraiser, dinner out at Noodles and Company.  Please remember to tell all your friends.  We get 25% of total sales WHEN YOU TURN IN THE FLIER.  Rowers will be given fliers for your family and to give to friends.  I have   also attached a copy for you to email your friends.
     
    March 20 - Tentative Saturday practice for all returning rowers.
     
    March 26 - Team dinner FOR ROWERS
     
    March 26 - PARENTS POT LUCK DINNER at Coach Muir's  (9426 Forrest Haven Drive).    
     
    March 27 - Polar bear Regatta at Occoquan.  This is the first regatta.  All rowers are expected to attend.  We will have regattas every Saturday until May 22 which is the Occoquan Classic (this regatta is not on your magnet but we will row at this regatta).  IF you know you will not be here for any of the regattas, please let your coach know now so that we can plan for it.  The first two regattas are at the beginning and end of spring break.

April

April 16-23 - Roy Rogers week (fundraiser).  Flier attached.  Tell your friends and family to come out and support the team.  You must present the flier.

April 18 - Yacht Club clean up from 9:00-11:00.  We need some rowers and parents.  Please let your team captain know if you will be able to help and if your parent will also be able to help.

April 20 - MV Crew Booster meeting. 7:30 in E106.  Please try to attend.  We do our best to keep the meetings only one hour long.  It is a great way to keep informed.  Tentative agenda attached.

May

May 2 - George Mason regatta concessions

May 2 - Commissioning Day

May 14-15 - Stotesbury    PACKET WENT OUT WITH ROWERS ON 4/12.....PAYMENT OF $200 AND ALL FORMS ARE DUE APRIL 26.

May 18--Crew Boosters Meeting

May 22 - Regatta at Occoquan (including the finish to the champianship races that got cancelled this past Sat.)

May 24th     Spring Sports Physicals G100/ Entrance #1            Time: 4-6pm

June

June 8 - Spring sports banquet at MVHS

June 12 - End of year picnic at Fort Belvoir
