Dear Rowers, Coxswains, Parents, Guardians and friends of MVHS Crew,

The Crew Board is considering the use of a point system for volunteer hours.  The system in part will be used to educate our members on the extensive volunteer hours needed to have a successful program and attempt to distribute the load of those hours fairly.

To baseline our volunteer hours we need EVERYONE involved in MVHS Crew to fill out an online survey.  That means every rower, coxswain, parent, guardian, relative, or friend of MVHS Crew should complete. Simply click on the link below and answer the questions.  The survey should only take you a few minutes.  If you could complete prior to the board meeting Tuesday May 18 at 7:30 it would be greatly appreciated.  We would like 100% input by 1 June.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Volunteers Needed

Al Urquia Regatta

Hello All,

We need two more volunteers for this coming Saturday’s regatta.
Parent volunteers are essential for the regatta to run and these
positions are assigned to our high school.
You will meet many other very nice people in the rowing
community and get insight into the workings of a regatta.

The two positions are:

Concessions at the Boathouse from 12:00 till done
Launch Master from 11:00a till done

Thanks,

Susanne Bolton

Menu items planned: lasagna - meat and veggie options, spaghetti, green salad, veggie tray, and desserts. Refreshments: gatorade and water.
NOTE: If rowers plan to drive a car and park, it is best to park along the MVHS football field and walk up the sidewalk to our house - my driveway is not that big and Mount Vernon Highway can be busy at times.

Another note - we have a dog, so we will try to remind the rowers to shut the yard gate and doors after passing through them so that the dog doesn't escape!
